Come Celebrate NADOC Week with Djab Wurrung Embassy.
We will be running a range of activities Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Meeting at Top Camp for 11:30 am start.
Activities will depend on weather conditions and numbers on the day. Activities will include learning about bush tucker and hunting methods, different art practices and traditional games.
Stay for the day or camp a night or two.

MRPV have extended the agreement not to start works until the 26th June.

NEWS IN REGARDS TO WORKS
Yesterday we received the news that Major Roads Projects Victoria have agreed not to start works until 12th of June. This agreement was made in regards to the Federal Court Proceedings that are still currently taking place.
NEWS REGARDING Zellanach Djab Mara
Reminder that Zellanach’s court hearing is set for the 27th May.
Just yesterday Indigenous spiritual leader D.T. Zellanach has been locked up, over the very minor offences of verbally direspecting a police officer and driving on an expired license. While defending sacred land, he’s been detained, conviniently in the same month that Vicroads intend to desecrate Djap Wurrung AGAIN. Despite cooperation, D.T. has been denied bail and is being held in the Melbourne Assessment Prison.
The farmer who killed 406 Wedge-tailed Eagles in East Gippsland got half the time D.T’s being kept for. This injustice is so typical of our racist government, whose law enforcement’s recently gotten bitter, right as the rednecks are acting out too. Coincidence?
Dangerous drivers, racist propaganda and dumped carcasses at camps have become more common; Before D.T. was arrested we got a tip from locals that Victoria Police intend to turn a blind eye from vigilante groups attacking camps.
We need to get together and face this prejudice by supporting Mob on their land. Or even if you don’t agree with what we’re doing, injustice is injustice and we need staunch people to act. Please be mindful that as times are tense this may not be a safe space for children.
Let’s give Zellanach some justice. Camp is strong. Get this message around. Now’s the time to bring your love and strength. 
Saturday 6th April we are having a working Bee.
Anyone that is able please come and show support by getting hands on. Bring tools and building equipment that you think will be helpful. Lunch will be provided

Major Road Projects Victoria gave an undertaking, no works until after April 22.
MRPA gave a undertaking in court on the 25th March not to start works for the next 48 hours. So we can cool off for the time being.
The Federal Government will also seek an undertaking of MRPA not to commence works until 15 April, we will hear the out come of that by COB 27 Wednesday March.
